So I’ve been on 3 auditions since the start of the new year, and I booked one of them! Yeeehaw! That’s 33%!…. Hell, if I keep that up, it’s gonna be a gang buster year! I feel it’ll be a great year…. I know something is just around the corner… we’ll see soon.
I was quite surprised when my agent called notifying me that I was booked. At the callback, they had paired me with a beautiful, but very tall (5’11”) woman who was a little older than me. She looked like a model, but you could tell she was in a different age bracket than me. I’m 5’10”, so ideally, me pair should be about 5’8” with heels. Nonetheless, we worked well together in the audition… but the kids they paired us up with didn’t do so well. They were very cute, but they weren’t in the mood to act when the director gave them direction.
Of course, I walked out of there thinking “hell, there goes that opportunity”. But voila! I got booked. I met the my “wife” and “kids” today at the fitting for outfits… they are all very nice and we definitely look like we could be related. Who knew?
