Here’s the scene:
Cuba, 1930’s. Nucky is meeting the head of Bacardi Rum in hopes of securing exclusive distribution for the United States. Nucky knows Prohibition will soon end and is positioning himself for the spoils. But of course, deals must be negotiated… so he goes to Cuba and that’s where I fit into the scene.
I played the role of an assistant to the Bacardi family… and when Nucky finds himself negotiating with Bacardi, I’m come into the scene.
In the scene is Steve Buscemi, Patricia Arquette, Paul Calderon, Lee Godart and an actor playing a U.S. Senator. See the pictures below.
Steve was so cool about the picture… he saw my camera in-hand and immediately said “let’s snap a shot”… I thought that was nice of him. Some celebrities can be standoff-ish about pictures. We actually chatted for about 10 minutes in-between one of the takes about Cuba and the political realities there.
