Like in many professions, an actor always has to be hustling to look for the next opportunity. So we scour the internet, reading all the actor websites in search of auditions, network with other actors, and in general, keep an eye out for anything else that might offer an opportunity for an acting job.
So I received a few emails from friends (and even my wife!) telling me about the “Mad Men” casting call for the hit show on AMC. I checked it out… apparently the winner will have a walk-on roll in the show. It’s essentially a great marketing program to drive people to the sponsoring store, which is Banana Republic… but what the hell… I know thousands of people are entering, but you never know when luck will strike. You gotta have a card in the game if you want your hand to win, right?
